Guided by the profound insights of the late Ven Dhamma Viriyo, the Venerable Maitry Peace Foundation masterfully organized a remarkable award ceremony. The Maitry Peace Foundation (MPF), operating as a voluntary organization independent of the government, is a beacon of community development and peaceful coexistence. MPF’s mission, encapsulated in its initiatives, reaches far and wide, from providing essential nutrition and education to every child to supporting the wishes of underprivileged children through five charitable homes. The Maitry Peace Foundation is shaping a better future in collaboration with the Dhamma Viriyo Foundation.

Maitry Peace Foundation is committed to enrolling 100 out-of-school street children in formal education by 2022, maintaining values that include respect for human rights and openness. In the future, plans for the Housabai Poor Home in Bodhgaya paint a picture of a holistic transformation that integrates rehabilitation, education, vocational training and creates opportunities for poor children to grow. This foundation has long been striving to promote harmonious coexistence and foster community development. The upcoming award ceremony, which is scheduled to be held in New Delhi, is a testament to the efforts of Buddha and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The announcement of the second edition was made by Surajit Barua, president of the Maitry Peace Foundation. In collaboration with the Embassy of Myanmar, the opening ceremony will be held at the prestigious Embassy Auditorium Hall in New Delhi. Recalling last year’s ceremony, the Governor House in Mumbai, Maharashtra illuminated the International Buddha Peace Prize and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Award. His Excellency Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari presided over the event and honored dignitaries like legendary composer-singer Anu Malik, Bollywood luminary Rajpal Yadav and dedicated social activists Vicky and Rohan Saxena.

 

The ceremony is a forum where not only excellence is praised, but also a significant contribution to the improvement of society. Awardees from various fields like Member of Legislative Council Lalji Prasad Nirmal, Dr. H.K.
